Data Recharge Voucher
DATA RECHARGE exists in both physical and electronic recharges and it
allows customers to subscribe for data bundles just by purchasing a data
recharge (ERC) or recharge card.
The recharge card would be loaded with the usual recharge syntax on the network *126*PIN# and does not involve the customer dialling any activation codes. This implies that customers would be credited with the appropriate data bundles once these cards are loaded or the electronic data recharge is received.
Below is a table showing bonuses available on all the denominations
Single Recharge Voucher
Airtel Nigeria, has introduced a dual purpose single recharge card for
both voice and data services on the network, thus eliminating the rigous
posed by recharging for either of the services separately.
The Single Recharge Option, another first in the industry by Airtel,
comes in the following denominations for Physical Recharge card form:
- N100
- N500
- N5000
In the electronic pin (paper) option, it comes in the following denominations:
- N100
- N200
- N500
- N1000
- N2000
- N5000
The old process of recharge for the voice service still suffices as
customers are to dial *126* followed by a recharge PIN and then#.
However, to subscribe for data service on the same recharge card,
customers are to dial *143* followed by recharge PIN and#.
The Single Recharge Option also attracts applicable bonus rates for data subscription depending on the amount of airtime purchased. For recharge cards between N100 and N500, a subscriber will enjoy 60% data bonus while subscription of N1, 000 to N5, 000 attracts for 30% data bonus.
The advantages to the customer include:
- Ease of Use: Customer do not have to remember the codes before they can activate a data plan
- Accessibility: Customers get to buy their preferred plan off the street and load them directly on their feature phones, smartphones and tablets.
- Affordability: Customers still get their bonuses when they activate their preferred data plans.
