The Fourth Post in the Microsoft Word series

Another aspect of professional document structure is removing the page number from the title page, this is also quite simple once you get the hang of it, so I'll explain in a few simple steps.

STEP 1

Go to the menu ribbon and select PAGE LAYOUT on the page layout menu select the small drop down arrow on the PAGE SETUP section as shown below
PAGE LAYOUT

STEP 2

The PAGE SETUP dialog box will appear on the dialog box select the LAYOUT tab

STEP 3

On the LAYOUT tab check the box DIFFERENT FIRST PAGE

DIFFERENT FIRST PAGE

NOTE: PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CURSOR IS IN THE FIRST SECTION OF THE DOCUMENT CONTAINING THE TITLE PAGE

STEP 4

Click OK and you would have successfully removed the page number from the first page.

Cheers,
Ponsak.
